Why Free
Why CutSnap's Free Plan Is Worth Using
Many "free" subtitle tools are feature-locked demos that push you toward a subscription before you can export. CutSnap's free plan produces real, downloadable subtitle files — useful for short-form content creators, educators, and accessibility teams.

Tips
Free Subtitle Generator Tips
Start with SRT — it's always free
SRT export is free across all plans. For YouTube and Vimeo, an SRT file is often better than burned-in captions anyway.
Upgrade only when you need longer videos
The free plan handles most short-form content. Upgrade when you need videos longer than 2 minutes or want to remove the video export watermark.
Style captions even on the free plan
All of CutSnap's styling features — fonts, colours, shadows, positioning — are available on the free plan.
